EAMS Families:

The 2016-17 school-year is off to a great start. Students are becoming more comfortable with the expectations and routines of a new year, a new set of teachers, or for the 6th graders, a new building altogether. It was especially exciting to see the kickoff of our Olweus Anti-Bullying Program, with the UW-Whitewater Wheelchair Basketball Team and the power of our weekly team meetings that the students have been participating in, discussing what it takes to stop bullying behavior. There are several upcoming events that I would like to make you aware of:

All-School Fundraiser

We are hosting our 2nd annual Color-A-Thon Family Fun Run on Friday, October 14. Students should have registration information which is due this Wednesday, September 28. The cost to run is $30 and includes a T-shirt, drawstring backpack, and a color pack for the “After Blast”. The funds raised from this event, help offset costs of our field trips and make them affordable for all. Please call the office at 723-6800, if you have any questions.

Picture Make-Ups/Retakes

Wednesday, September 28th is also our day for picture make-ups and retakes. If you need a photo form, they are available in the office.

Our fall sports teams, cross country, football, and volleyball will be taking team pictures  next week on October 4th.

District Open House

This Sunday, October 2nd, EASD is hosting a district-wide open house. This a great opportunity to see the building projects that were completed this summer in the different buildings. It is also a chance to ask questions and get informed about the proposed referendum for November. Tibbets, Jackson, West Side, EAMS, and EAHS will be open for touring between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
