Principal's Message

Dear EAMS Students and Parents,Principal
It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to Elkhorn Area Middle School. Your three years at the middle level will be full of variety, laughter, and learning. In my opinion, there is no more unique experience in education than these formative years. I look forward to working with you and watching our students grow socially, emotionally, and academically throughout their years at EAMS.
Our school has a staff that is dedicated to working with middle-level students, and our work will be driven by developing high performance relationships. This means simultaneously caring for our students while pressing them to succeed. The staff at EAMS recognizes the diversity of our students as people and learners. Through a variety of strategies, we will give students the opportunity to explore, grow, and learn in a setting that teaches them about themselves and the greater world.
Middle school is a time of transition. Not long after transitioning to sixth grade, students will soon shift their focus to the ninth grade transition. Through these years it is common for students to develop new passions and create new friendships. In this time of change, the social and emotional well-being of our students is paramount. Our team of educators is dedicated to helping students and parents navigate these experiences, and we look forward to that collaborative journey.
A core responsibility of mine is to serve you. Through open and honest communication with students and parents, we can meet our shared goal of continuously improving the middle-school experience for all students and building the foundation of their future successes.  Please feel free to contact me directly at any time with questions or concerns. Your voice is valued and an integral part of our school community. I can be reached at (262) 723-6800 x1501 or by e-mail at
